About the Role
As a Pharmacy Technician at Walgreens, you play a vital role in delivering a distinctive and delightful customer experience while supporting the pharmacy team. You will be the face of the pharmacy, engaging with customers and patients by greeting them, offering assistance, and resolving issues to ensure a positive interaction. Your work ensures that patients receive courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service, while you assist the pharmacist under direct supervision in the practice of pharmacy.
Your day involves a blend of operational excellence and patient care. You will register sales, process prescriptions, and manage inventory, ensuring that counters and shelves are clean, well-merchandised, and compliant with company policies. From handling telephone calls to managing web pick-up responsibilities and assisting with photo services, you will wear many hats to keep the pharmacy department running smoothly. You are also responsible for maintaining strict adherence to state and federal regulations, including Good Faith Dispensing policies and the Walgreens Co. Pharmacy Code of Conduct.

Hiring Process

Requirements

Six months of experience in a retail environment. Prior work experience with Walgreens. Good math skills for filling prescriptions accurately. Good computer skills. Knowledge of store inventory control. PTCB certification.
