This position serves as a vital bridge between our pharmacy operations and the community, delivering a distinctive and delightful customer experience. You will work under the direct supervision of pharmacists to assist in the practice of pharmacy while ensuring every interaction is courteous, fair, and efficient. From processing prescriptions to managing inventory and handling customer inquiries, your role is essential to maintaining the flow of care and service within the store.
Your day begins by engaging with customers and patients, greeting them warmly, and offering proactive assistance with products and services. You will be responsible for registering sales, handling cash transactions, and resolving issues to ensure a positive experience. A significant portion of your time will be dedicated to supporting the pharmacy team: utilizing pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, filling prescriptions by retrieving and counting medications, and verifying accuracy to prevent errors.
Beyond the pharmacy counter, you will maintain a clean and well-merchandised environment, constructing displays and managing inventory for both pharmaceutical and general retail items. You may also assist with photo services, web pick-up responsibilities, and exterior maintenance. Throughout your shift, you will adhere strictly to company policies, including the Code of Conduct and Good Faith Dispensing guidelines, while ensuring compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products.
Candidates must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends. The role requires fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico). While prior retail experience and PTCB certification are preferred, we are committed to training and developing our team members to succeed in this dynamic environment.
