How would you like to join one of the most highly regarded financial institutions in New Jersey with deep roots in the community? Provident is a successful, multi-billion-dollar bank that continues to grow with branches in New Jersey, Eastern Pennsylvania, and New York. For more than 180 years, we have served individuals, families, and businesses in our local communities with personal and business banking services.
Our longevity is a testament to our commitment to placing our employees, customers, and the communities we serve at the center of all we do. At Provident Bank, we are committed to enhancing our customer and employees' experience. Our brand promise, "Commitment you can count on," supports the investments we make in the community and the donations made by our employees. Volunteering is a way of life here; our employees lend time and talent to assist hundreds of organizations and thousands of people and animals each year.
As a Personal Banker at Provident Bank, you will be the face of the branch, establishing relationships with customers and prospective customers to understand, identify, and satisfy their financial needs. This is a dynamic position that blends transactional duties with sales and service, ensuring a positive customer experience during every branch interaction.
Your day will involve responding to customer needs by processing a variety of financial transactions, greeting customers, and performing needs-based assessments. You will act as a consultant, identifying opportunities through lobby management and assisting customers with digital technologies. The role requires you to balance operational safety and soundness with active engagement, ensuring that every customer feels heard and valued. You will also support branch management with daily operations, end-of-day functions, and reporting, while potentially assisting in training other branch employees.
Provident Bank recognizes and supports the importance of creating a socially and culturally diverse employee base. We understand, value, and appreciate the unique perspectives that a diverse workforce can contribute to our organization. We put the employee and the customer at the center of our strategy because culture is a critical differentiator for why people choose to work here. All employees are expected to adhere to the Bank's Code of Ethics, Core Values, and Mission Statement.
