About the Team
The Office of Management and Enterprise Services (OMES) Finance Center of Excellence (FCoE) is driving the State of Oklahoma's modernization efforts. As the state accelerates the implementation of PeopleSoft Phase II modules across numerous agencies, the FCoE CORE Team plays a pivotal role in ensuring the stability and evolution of the statewide financial infrastructure.
About the Role
This position serves as a critical augmentation resource within the FCoE, supporting the State of Oklahoma PeopleSoft Financials system. The role is designed for a seasoned professional who can navigate both support and leadership responsibilities during complex project implementations and upgrades.
You will act as a bridge between functional business needs and technical execution. Your day-to-day involves translating functional requirements into technical specifications, protecting the statewide configuration, and adhering to strict accounting procedures. You will collaborate closely with PeopleSoft Business Analysts, System Analysts, System Integrators, and external stakeholders to identify risks, document workflow requirements, and design processes that meet both agency-specific and statewide standards.
Beyond technical execution, you will be instrumental in maintaining the integrity of the system by updating manuals, job aids, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). You will also prepare test scenarios, scripts, and training materials to ensure smooth transitions during patches, fixes, and the Financials PUM upgrade.
Hiring Process
Candidates with government experience, specifically within the State of Oklahoma, or those familiar with the current PeopleSoft PUM Image are strongly preferred. The selection process will prioritize resources who demonstrate a thorough understanding of state accounting policies and standards alongside deep technical proficiency in the PeopleSoft ecosystem.
