About the Role
The State of Oklahoma is accelerating the implementation of PeopleSoft Phase II modules across numerous agencies. As a Peoplesoft Developer on the FCOE CORE Team, you will play a pivotal role in both supporting and leading various projects. This position requires a unique blend of functional expertise and technical proficiency to protect the statewide configuration while adhering to strict accounting procedures.
You will serve as a bridge between business needs and technical execution, translating functional requirements into technical specifications. Your day-to-day involves collaborating closely with PeopleSoft Business Analysts, System Analysts, System Integrators, and Oracle support teams. You will also communicate effectively with agency stakeholders, technical users, and functional users to ensure seamless project delivery.
What You Will Do
In this hybrid role based in Oklahoma City, you will provide functional production support for all respective PeopleSoft modules, including Financials, Grants, Projects Costing, Contracts, and Treasury. You will be responsible for identifying risks and obstacles within projects, providing thorough assessments to FCoE, IS, CAR, and other OMES leadership.
Your contributions will include updating manuals, job aids, and SOPs, as well as preparing test scenarios, scripts, and training materials. You will work individually or with System Integrators to document workflow requirements and design processes that meet both agency and statewide needs, specifically within the Accounts Payable and Travel and Expense modules. Additionally, you will assist with testing patches, fixes, and Financials PUM upgrades, maintaining the PeopleSoft Test Framework.
Hiring Process & Deliverables
Successful candidates will be expected to deliver production support in a timely manner, along with weekly status reports outlining work accomplished. Depending on project needs, you may also be tasked with creating project plans, development requests in accordance with state guidelines, fit/gap documentation, and documenting test results.
Preference is given to resources with government experience, specifically experience with the State of Oklahoma, as well as familiarity with the current PeopleSoft PUM Image. This role is a 12-month contract opportunity designed for those ready to make an immediate impact on the state's financial infrastructure.
