About the Opportunity
The State of Oklahoma is accelerating the implementation of PeopleSoft Phase II modules across numerous agencies. This initiative requires skilled professionals to join the FCoE CORE Team, where they will play a pivotal role in both supporting existing systems and leading key projects. The position offers a long-term engagement focused on protecting the statewide configuration and ensuring strict adherence to state accounting procedures.
The Role
As a PeopleSoft Developer, you will serve as a bridge between functional requirements and technical execution. Your day-to-day involves collaborating closely with PeopleSoft Business Analysts, System Analysts, System Integrators, and Oracle support teams to deliver functional and technical solutions. You will work directly with agency, technical, and functional users to identify risks, document workflow requirements, and design processes that satisfy both specific agency needs and statewide standards.
A significant portion of your time will be dedicated to the Accounts Payable and Travel & Expense modules, translating complex business needs into technical specifications. You will also be responsible for updating manuals, job aids, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), as well as preparing comprehensive test scenarios, scripts, and training materials. Success in this role requires a deep understanding of State of Oklahoma accounting policies and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including OMES leadership.
Hiring Process
Candidates with government experience, specifically within the State of Oklahoma, or those familiar with the current PeopleSoft PUM Image will be given preference during the selection process. The role involves a collaborative environment where you will work individually or alongside System Integrators to ensure project success.
