About the Team
Banner Medical Group is actively recruiting to expand its Pediatric Anesthesiology team at Banner Desert Medical Center in Mesa, AZ. The current team consists of five Pediatric Anesthesiologists, with plans for significant growth. Banner Children's at Desert Medical Center serves a growing pediatric population of over 350,000. As a state-of-the-art, 260-bed children's care facility, the campus features a Level Two Pediatric Trauma Center, a Level 3 NICU with 104 beds and 24/7 Neonatology support, a 24-bed PICU with 24/7 Pediatric Intensivist support, and a 26-bed Pediatric ED. With more than 240 pediatric physicians on staff offering care in over 27 subspecialties, the center is the largest private employer in the state and the primary referral center for pediatric surgeries within the Banner network.
About the Role
This full-time (1.0 FTE) position offers a busy practice supported by a built-in referral network. The role involves managing pediatric anesthesia care within a comprehensive facility. The schedule consists of 168 rotating 10-hour shifts per year, plus home call, with post-call days off included. The team is open to flexible schedules to accommodate provider needs.
Location
Mesa, AZ is located just east of Phoenix, conveniently situated near top universities, an international airport, and numerous entertainment and outdoor recreation venues. The area is also home to several professional sports teams.
