Founded to fulfill a vision of orthopedic excellence, the Center for Orthopedic Research and Education (CORE) Institute in Phoenix, Arizona, delivers the highest level of musculoskeletal healthcare. Our mission is built upon a foundation of pioneering research, academics, community service, and a passion for excellence in patient care and outcomes.
We are currently seeking Fellows for the 2026-2027 academic year to join our specialized programs. These fellowships are designed to provide intensive, high-volume training under the guidance of highly experienced faculty who are leaders in their respective fields.
This 12-month program offers a distinctive, intensive curriculum where fellows undergo extensive training under Adult Reconstruction attending surgeons. The program features a high-volume joint reconstruction service with a track record of clinical and educational excellence. Fellows actively engage in over 500 routine and intricate adult reconstruction surgeries, including significant exposure to complex revision cases and tumor reconstruction. The curriculum includes thorough training in robotics.
Focusing on non-operative spine care and interventional pain medicine, this 12-month clinical fellowship allows fellows to collaborate with physicians in a large, highly active, multidisciplinary group. The program emphasizes proficiency in various interventional spine procedures, including fluoroscopic and ultrasound-guided injections, spinal cord stimulator implants, and kyphoplasty. Fellows receive comprehensive training in medication management and electrodiagnostics, with opportunities for elective rotations in orthopedic spine surgery and neuroradiology. The program also offers a multitude of research opportunities and prepares fellows for board certification through the American Board of Pain Medicine.
This one-year post-residency program covers the management of spinal disorders, integrating surgical and non-operative care. The Spine Division features a team of pain management and rehabilitation specialists alongside surgical leaders. Surgical training includes cutting-edge minimally invasive and open surgeries for degenerative conditions, tumors, fractures, and adult deformity across all spinal regions. Fellows actively participate in monthly spine conferences and journal clubs, while benefiting from access to a biomechanical research laboratory, motion analysis laboratory, and a fully staffed clinical research infrastructure.
To apply, candidates must submit a CV, a Personal Statement, and three letters of recommendation. Applicants must have completed or be currently participating in an Orthopedic Surgery Residency in the United States or Canada.
