At Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute (FCS), we believe our people are our strength. Since 1984, we have built a national reputation for excellence, utilizing innovative clinical research, cutting-edge technologies, and advanced treatments to provide world-class cancer care. We are recognized by the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) with a national Clinical Trials Participation Award, offering patients access to more clinical trials than any private oncology practice in Florida.
Through our partnership with Sarah Cannon, FCS is one of the largest clinical research organizations in the United States, often leading the nation in initiating research studies and offering ground-breaking new therapies to patients in a community setting. We invest in our associates through significant professional opportunities, career advancement, and training, ensuring a positive impact on the people and communities we serve.
The Patient Services Specialist (PSS) serves as the backbone of our medical clinic operations, handling a wide array of clerical duties essential to patient care. This role is unique in its expectation of versatility; while the position is divided into specific "stations" with distinct duties, every PSS is required to master and perform the responsibilities of all front office stations.
You will work in a fast-paced, multi-site environment where flexibility is key. Due to varying office layouts and daily needs, you may rotate through different stations or assist colleagues with tasks outside your primary focus. Success in this role requires strong organizational skills, the ability to manage time-sensitive priorities, and a demonstrated capacity to maintain attention to detail while adapting to changing demands. You will interact with a wide variety of personalities, handling sensitive and confidential material with diplomacy and emotional intelligence.
All offers of employment at FCS are contingent upon clear results of a thorough background screening. As a condition of employment, new hires must comply with our drug-free workplace policy, including drug and nicotine testing (medical marijuana cards are not recognized). Additionally, all new hires are required to receive various vaccinations, including the influenza vaccine, barring an approved exemption.
FCS is an EEO/Affirmative Action Employer committed to helping individuals with disabilities participate in the workforce. We do not discriminate on the basis of age, race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, protected veteran status, disability, or any other legally protected status. If you require an accommodation to submit a resume, please email FCS Recruitment at Recruiter@FLCancer.com.
