Healogics is the largest provider of advanced wound care services in the United States, treating more than 300,000 chronic wound patients annually across over 600 sites. As an aging society, rising rates of obesity and diabetes, and an increase in surgical procedures drive demand, the number of patients with non-healing wounds requiring expert care is dramatically increasing. Healogics is dedicated to providing differentiated, quality outcomes to as many patients as possible through its outpatient clinic partnerships.
At Healogics, we believe the rewards are immense, starting with the important work we do to change patients' lives. We understand that meaningful work is hard work and are committed to supporting and compensating our employees for the tremendous service they provide.
Under the direction of the Wound Care Center Clinical Nurse Manager or Clinical Coordinator, this Registered Nurse (RN) primarily provides patient care and manages intake and discharge processes for Wound Care Center patients. The role may also include serving as a Case Manager for a group of assigned patients, depending on the specific center setup.
In this capacity, you will perform initial nursing assessments, communicate findings with assigned physicians, assess wound stages and measurements, and document care plans. You will evaluate patient status regarding desired outcomes, identify situations requiring intervention, and participate in quality improvement initiatives. Additionally, you will serve as a patient advocate, providing education to patients and caregivers while collaborating with healthcare providers, the Program Director, and the Medical Director to meet clinic and patient needs.
Depending on training completion, you may also assist in the vein clinic, perform hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBO) duties, and serve as a hyperbaric safety director. The role requires adherence to all Healogics policies, hospital policies, accrediting organization standards, federal and state regulations, and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) guidelines.
If you are a current employee and wish to apply for this position, you must submit your application as an internal candidate via Workday through the "Jobs Hub".
