Healogics is the largest provider of advanced wound care services in the United States, treating more than 300,000 chronic wound patients annually across over 600 sites. As the aging population grows and rates of obesity and diabetes rise, the need for expert care for non-healing wounds is increasing dramatically. The company is dedicated to providing differentiated, quality outcomes to as many patients as possible through its outpatient clinic partnerships.
At Healogics, we believe the rewards are immense, starting with the important work we do to change patients' lives. We understand that meaningful work is hard work, and we are committed to supporting and compensating our employees for the tremendous service they provide.
This Registered Nurse (RN) position serves as a vital part of the Wound Care Center team. Under the direction of the Clinical Nurse Manager or Clinical Coordinator, you will primarily provide direct patient care while managing intake and discharge processes for scheduled patients. The role offers the opportunity to serve as a Case Manager for a group of assigned patients, where you will conduct initial nursing assessments, communicate findings with physicians, and evaluate patient status against desired outcomes. You will also act as a patient advocate, participating in quality improvement initiatives and providing education to patients and caregivers.
Depending on the specific center setup and your training completion, you may also assist in the vein clinic, perform hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBO) duties, or serve as a hyperbaric safety director. Success in this role requires collaborating closely with healthcare providers, the Program Director, and the Medical Director to address clinic and patient needs. All employees are expected to perform their responsibilities in strict accordance with Healogics policies, hospital standards, and federal and state regulations, including CMS guidelines.
