About the Team
The Cardiac Management Solutions division of ZOLL Medical Corporation develops life-saving products to protect and manage cardiac patients. This includes the LifeVest® wearable cardioverter defibrillator (WCD) and associated technologies. Heart disease remains the leading cause of death for both men and women in the U.S., and ZOLL's mission is to ensure cardiac patients receive the therapy they need. To date, the LifeVest® has been worn by hundreds of thousands of patients, saving thousands of lives.
About the Role
We are seeking a Patient Service Representative (PSR) to join our team as an independent contractor. In this role, you will train patients on the use and care of the LifeVest®. The LifeVest® is worn by patients at risk for sudden cardiac arrest (SCA), providing protection during their changing condition. It is lightweight and easy to wear, allowing patients to return to their common activities of daily living with peace of mind.
This position is ideal for a health professional with patient care and teaching experience looking to supplement their income. A typical assignment involves visiting a patient in the hospital awaiting discharge to set up the equipment and train the patient and caregivers on the device. You will also follow up with patients as needed to ensure understanding and satisfaction.
As an independent contractor, you retain the flexibility to accept or decline assignments based on your schedule. Most assignments can be scheduled during free time, such as before or after your primary work, or on days off. We welcome candidates with diverse medical backgrounds, including RNs, EMTs, Paramedics, EMS personnel, Firefighters, PAs, LPNs, MAs, Phlebotomists, RCIS, CVTs, and EKG Technicians. All candidates are reviewed on an individual basis.
Hiring Process
Candidates must complete a background check. Please note that Florida and Ohio candidates must complete a Level 2 screening, for which the fee is not paid by ZOLL. Additionally, candidates must disclose their personal NPI number (if applicable) and be willing to pay a $30 annual DME fee, which is deducted from a completed Work Order. If needed geographically, you must also be willing to pay for additional vendor credentialing (e.g., RepTrax).
