Join our 24-bed Medicine unit as a Patient Care Technician (PCT) on the Third (Night) shift. This full-time position operates from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, covering three 12-hour shifts per week with rotating weekends.
You will provide essential patient care under the direction of professional RN nurses, supporting independent and dependent activities of daily living. Your day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, assisting with mobility and ambulation, performing phlebotomy, point-of-care testing, EKGs, and managing peripheral IV removal, specimen collection, and Foley catheter insertion and removal. You will observe patients' physical, mental, and emotional conditions, documenting changes accurately and reporting them promptly to the medical team.
The unit serves a diverse patient population, including those with cardiac conditions, renal failure, vascular issues, sepsis, pneumonia, sickle cell disease, and complex wound care needs.
