As a Medical Assistant in our Pediatrics department, your role is pivotal to both patient care and the smooth operation of our daily office activities. You will serve as a vital link between patients, providers, and the administrative team, ensuring that every interaction reflects our commitment to excellent customer service and communication.
Your day will be a dynamic blend of clinical support and patient interaction. You will conduct pre-visit planning, obtain vital signs, and perform procedures such as EKGs and phlebotomy. Beyond the exam room, you will manage patient flow through check-in and scheduling, assist with insurance verification, and facilitate communication regarding provider updates and MyCare sign-ups. You will also play a key role in maintaining exam rooms, managing medical records, and supporting quality assurance initiatives.
You will be working within the Rochester General Pediatrics team, supporting providers and nursing staff during clinical care activities. This role is essential for maintaining the efficiency of the practice, from stocking and sterilizing equipment to processing payments and managing non-clinical supplies. Whether you are escorting patients to ancillary services or compiling data for quality improvement, your contributions ensure the practice runs seamlessly.
Interested candidates are encouraged to apply with their resume and relevant certifications. The hiring team will review applications to identify candidates who best match the clinical and administrative needs of the department.
