This position serves as a vital bridge between administrative efficiency and clinical excellence, supporting the smooth operations of our practice while upholding BIDMC's promise of extraordinary care. You will perform a blend of administrative and clinical functions, ensuring that patient care areas are clean, organized, and ready for use. Your day will involve greeting patients, managing check-ins, and assisting those with physical or psychological limitations with ambulation and care functions.
You will act as a liaison between patients and the practice staff, facilitating timely flow and keeping everyone informed of delays. From performing medical assisting duties like vital signs and EKGs to managing medical equipment and supplies, your role ensures that every aspect of the patient journey is handled with courtesy and professionalism. You will communicate effectively with patients, families, and the broader public, both in person and by phone, while collaborating with Practice Managers, RNs, and physicians to deliver high-quality service.
