Join our 42-bed Surgery unit, which specializes in caring for adult surgical patients recovering from a variety of procedures, including Urology, General Surgery, ENT, Plastic Surgery, GYN Surgery, Surgical Oncology, and Trauma Overflow. This is a full-time, day shift position (7:00 am to 7:00 pm) working three 12-hour shifts per week with rotating weekends.
As a Patient Care Technician (PCT), you will provide essential patient care under the direction of professional RN nurses. Your day-to-day responsibilities include supporting independent and dependent activities of daily living, monitoring vital signs, assisting with mobility and ambulation, and performing clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, point-of-care testing, EKG testing, peripheral IV removal, specimen collection, and Foley catheter insertion and removal. You will also observe patients' physical, mental, and emotional conditions, documenting findings accurately and reporting any changes to the medical staff.
