This position serves as a vital support within the PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit) and Clinical Nursing Support team, dedicated to providing compassionate, basic patient care across a diverse range of age groups, from neonates to geriatric patients. The role exists to ensure patient safety and well-being by assisting licensed staff with routine treatment procedures and maintaining a clean, therapeutic environment.
In this role, you will be an integral part of the care team, observing patients closely to report any changes in condition to the Charge Nurse. Your day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living such as meals, hygiene, and ambulation, as well as performing specific clinical tasks like phlebotomy, wound care, and urinary catheter insertions under the direction of licensed personnel. You will also play a key role in patient safety by proactively identifying environmental risks and encouraging patients to actively participate in their own care.
Candidates must possess a High School diploma or GED equivalent and have at least six months of directly related experience. Essential credentials include CPR for Healthcare/BLS certification (or the ability to obtain it within 30 days). A sign-on bonus is available for qualified candidates.
We are an equal opportunity employer committed to building a diverse and inclusive workforce. We consider qualified applicants regardless of background, ensuring a supportive environment for all team members.
