This role is part of the Med/Surg Subacute (4-E) department, providing essential clinical support within a diverse patient care environment. The team serves a wide range of age groups, from neonates to geriatric patients, ensuring comprehensive care across the continuum of health needs.
As a member of the Clinical Nursing Support team, you will provide basic patient care and assist in the daily operations of the nursing station. Your day will involve observing patients to ensure their safety and well-being, performing tasks such as tube insertion, wound care, and phlebotomy, and assisting with activities of daily living including meals, ambulation, and hygiene. You will also manage clerical duties, maintain the physical environment, and document care in the Electronic Medical Record. This position requires a proactive approach to patient safety, encouraging patients to participate in their own care and reporting any concerns or near misses immediately.
This is a part-time position (0.60 FTE) working the night shift. Compensation includes specific shift differentials: 17% for weekday nights, 26% for weekend nights, and 15% for weekend days. A sign-on bonus is available for qualified candidates. Total compensation is based on factors including experience, education, and organizational considerations.
Candidates must meet essential qualifications, including a High School diploma or GED equivalent, and specific training such as MA, PCT, CNA, or relevant nursing school coursework. One year of directly related experience is required. Essential credentials include CPR for Healthcare/BLS certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days). Bilingual skills in Keres, Tewa, Tiwa, Towa, Zuni, or Navajo are considered non-essential but highly valued. Tuberculosis testing is completed upon hire.
