This position supports the Med/Surg Subacute unit (4-E), a dynamic clinical environment dedicated to providing comprehensive care across the lifespan. The team serves a diverse patient population, including Neonates, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, and Geriatrics, ensuring that every individual receives attentive and safe support within the hospital setting.
As a member of the Clinical Nursing Support team, you will serve as a vital link in the patient care continuum. Your primary mission is to provide basic patient care while assisting in the smooth operation of the nursing station. You will be responsible for performing essential clinical tasks such as tube insertion, wound care, and phlebotomy, alongside managing clerical and receptionist duties to maintain an organized and therapeutic environment.
In this role, you will observe patients closely to ensure their safety and well-being, reporting any changes to the Charge Nurse. Your day-to-day activities involve taking and recording vital signs, assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as meals, ambulation, and hygiene, and maintaining the minute-to-minute care of patients at risk. You will also play a proactive role in patient safety by identifying environmental risks, reporting potential errors, and encouraging patients to actively participate in their own care plans.
