About the Role
The Patient Care Technician serves as a vital clinical support partner, working alongside the patient care team to deliver compassionate, high-quality care. You may also step into the role of a Health Unit Coordinator, managing unit logistics to keep the team running smoothly.
Based at Intermountain Health's Layton Hospital in the Same Day Surgery/PACU department, you will function as a key member of the interdisciplinary team. Your day will involve prioritizing basic patient care needs—from hygiene and ambulation to comfort measures—while maintaining excellent communication with patients and their families. You will collaborate closely with RNs and other providers to implement care plans, monitor patient conditions, and ensure a safe environment.
