About the Role

This Full-time Day Shift position is located at Intermountain Health Layton Hospital within the Med/Surg department. As a Patient Care Technician, you will prioritize and deliver basic patient care, including toileting, bathing, linen changes, and comfort measures, while ensuring excellent customer service for patients and families. You will report and record patient care findings in a timely manner, communicating any changes in patient condition to the team immediately.

In this role, you may also assume the responsibilities of a Health Unit Coordinator. This includes answering phones, transcribing physician orders, managing unit records, and organizing supplies. You will collaborate with RNs and the interdisciplinary team to implement plans of care, transport medications, and foster a safe environment by complying with safety policies. Some weekend and holiday requirements apply, with shift differentials available for evenings, nights, and weekends.
