Intermountain Health is dedicated to helping people live the healthiest lives possible. Our Medical Nursing unit is a dynamic environment where skilled nurses collaborate with Hospitalist physicians, therapists, social workers, and CNAs to deliver exceptional care. We specialize in two key subspecialties: End of Life and Oncology care. Our team culture is built on the core values of Integrity, Trust, Excellence, Accountability, and Mutual Respect, ensuring a supportive environment for both staff and patients.
This position serves a dual function as both a Patient Care Tech (PCT) and a Health Unit Coordinator (HUC), offering a unique opportunity to solidify and maintain nursing skills while gaining broad exposure to unit operations. As a PCT, you will act as a clinical support partner, assisting the patient care team by performing various tasks and procedures under the direction of licensed professionals. You will prioritize basic patient care, including toileting, bathing, ambulation, and comfort measures, while maintaining a safe environment and reporting changes in patient condition promptly.
Simultaneously, as a Health Unit Coordinator, you will facilitate unit organization by managing clerical activities. This includes answering phones, transcribing physician orders, managing unit records, and ensuring supplies are stocked and organized. You will function as a vital link between nursing leadership, physicians, and the care team, ensuring seamless communication and patient flow. This role is ideal for those seeking to contribute to a mission of patient-centered care while working in a setting that offers excellent orientation and growth opportunities.
