About the Role
This position serves as a vital support within the PACU - CCT department, dedicated to providing compassionate basic patient care across a diverse range of age groups, from neonates to geriatric patients. The role exists to ensure a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment where patients receive attentive monitoring and assistance with daily needs under the direction of licensed nursing staff.
In this day-to-day capacity, you will be the eyes and ears of the care team, observing patients closely to ensure their safety and well-being while reporting any changes to the Charge Nurse. Your responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living such as meals, hygiene, and ambulation, as well as performing routine procedures like taking vital signs and documenting care in the Electronic Medical Record. You will also support invasive routine tasks, such as phlebotomy and wound care, when directed, while actively promoting patient safety by identifying environmental risks and encouraging patients to participate in their own care.
