We strive to deliver exceptional quality in every item we produce, ensuring that our guests enjoy the finest baked goods and desserts throughout their stay.
About the Role
As a Pastry Cook 1, you will oversee the daily operations of all bakery outlets and assist with the overall culinary supervision and execution of menu categories. Your day will involve a dynamic blend of precision and creativity, from scaling, mixing, and proofing to baking, decorating, and finishing. You will be responsible for replicating recipes according to guidelines, ensuring proper timing, quality, temperature, portion control, and presentation for all bakery menu items.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with Leads and Chefs to ensure the exceptional delivery of bakery items for all resort restaurant outlets and banquets. You will also assist with specific allergy requests and items for guests with special dietary needs. Occasionally, you may be required to communicate with guests on stage to explain cooking techniques or answer questions, and you might conduct promotional cooking demonstrations. Additionally, you will assist in creating and decorating cakes, wedding cakes, and custom amenities, while also managing monthly inventory and daily food orders.
Hiring Process
To join our team, please ensure you meet the basic qualifications, including a minimum of 5 years of experience in the culinary field or a high-volume bakery, or a Culinary Degree with 3 years of related experience. You must possess a working knowledge of cost controls and proper sanitation principles. An accredited food safety certification or equivalent is required, and you must complete a 6-hour practical.
