As an Airport Customer Service Agent, you will serve as the primary point of contact for passengers, providing professional and efficient assistance. This role is centered on resolving issues with delayed, lost, or damaged baggage and guiding travelers through the baggage claim process. You will utilize specialized computer software to track and catalog luggage, ensuring accurate and timely resolutions for every customer interaction.
The position requires a high level of physical engagement and situational awareness. You will be responsible for lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling items weighing up to 70 pounds regularly, including moving heavy items up and down jetway stairs. Additionally, you must remain alert to moving vehicles and aircraft on the tarmac and effectively use radio equipment to coordinate with ground operations. This is a dynamic, customer-facing role that demands both physical stamina and a warm, outgoing demeanor.
Candidates selected for this position must complete a comprehensive pre-employment screening, including a drug screen and a background check covering up to 10 years. Successful applicants will also be required to complete ramp and SIDA training to obtain the necessary airport authority identification and security clearance.
