The Fidelity Security Team is a vital component of Global Security and Investigations (GSI), operating around the clock to ensure the safety of Fidelity associates, customers, and assets. Through a combination of security, intelligence, safety, and business continuity operations, the team provides physical and technical security services to the Boston region. Our security representatives are highly trained to respond to safety and security concerns while monitoring state-of-the-art security systems.
As a Security Representative, you will join a team that values safety, collaboration, and top-notch performance. This role is pivotal in delivering top-tier customer service and security operations that showcase Fidelity's dedication to creating a secure and inviting environment for everyone. You will serve as a primary decision-maker or incident commander during emergencies, applying life safety equipment and executing first-responder rescue activities when necessary.
Your day will involve a dynamic mix of proactive and reactive duties. You will conduct focused patrols on foot or by vehicle, perform regular inspections to verify the functionality of security equipment, and monitor threat intelligence to understand how internal and external risks impact site procedures. Beyond technical security, you will be the face of the company, greeting visitors and associates with a professional demeanor while facilitating access control and delivering customer-centric experiences. Success in this role requires the ability to remain composed in high-pressure situations, exercise good judgment under ambiguous circumstances, and function both autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
Please note that the application window closes when the position is filled or the posting is removed. Fidelity is not providing immigration sponsorship for this position. Due to the nature of the business, which is governed by the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, the Investment Advisers Act of 1940, and other federal and state regulations, candidates with certain criminal histories may be restricted from hiring or association.
We are committed to fostering a culture of safety and collaboration. As a Security Representative, you will be expected to demonstrate a composed and thoughtful attitude, ensuring compliance with company standards and policies while supporting associates and guests who require accommodations or are facing external threats. We value individuals who are diligent, capable of adhering to standard operating procedures, and committed to upholding the highest standards of performance.
