About the Role
The Shift Supervisor serves as the critical on-site leader for our facility, ensuring the safety, order, and well-being of residents during designated shifts. Reporting directly to the Director of Security Services, this role is unique in its dual focus: maintaining rigorous security protocols while simultaneously overseeing the direct care and intake of clients. In the absence of an Administrator, the Shift Supervisor assumes full responsibility for the facility's operations, acting as the primary point of contact for emergency services, public agencies, and internal staff.
This position is designed for a professional who thrives in a dynamic, high-stakes environment. The day-to-day reality involves managing the flow of people in and out of the shelter, coordinating with the DHS/HERO department for new intakes, and ensuring every client receives a warm, compliant orientation. From conducting fire drills and managing facility maintenance to mediating client disputes and responding to behavioral crises, the Shift Supervisor must maintain a visible, calming presence throughout the entire shift. You will be the bridge between the security team, the care staff, and the community, ensuring that the facility remains a safe, supportive, and orderly home for those in need.
