Under the direction of the Lead Security Officer, this position provides an armed, uniformed security presence throughout SPHP campuses. The role is critical for ensuring the safety and security of colleagues, staff, patients, visitors, and others on the buildings and grounds.
Senior Security Officers are responsible for assessing threats, providing immediate response to offenses against public order, and mitigating risks to life and safety. The role involves coordinating with law enforcement agencies based on threat assessments and handling offenses that require investigation and thorough reporting to SPHP Leadership. Officers may also be required to pick up shifts at acute care facilities outside of their primary work location as needed.
