The Outpatient RN CAP 1 position serves as an entry-level designation within the Clinical Advancement Program (CAP). As a vital member of the End Stage Kidney Disease (ESKD) healthcare team, you will be accountable for providing and coordinating clinically competent care, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation for an assigned group of patients. This role is designed to foster growth through participation in decision-making, teaching, leadership functions, and quality improvement activities that enhance patient care outcomes and facility operations.
In this role, you will collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to deliver safe and effective hemodialysis therapy. Your day involves the systematic collection and analysis of patient data before, during, and after treatments, ensuring adjustments to treatment plans are made as indicated. You will serve as a resource for the healthcare team, assisting with emergency response measures and providing essential education to patients and their families regarding their treatment options and transplant awareness. Additionally, you may have the opportunity to direct and provide training to direct and ancillary patient care staff, contributing to the orientation of new team members.
