About the Role
As an MRI Technologist at the East Cooper Clinic, you will be the frontline guardian of patient safety and image quality. Your role is critical in ensuring that every magnetic resonance imaging exam is performed timely, accurately, and safely for radiologist interpretation. You will serve as the primary point of contact for patients, guiding them through the procedure by explaining the process, addressing fears of closed spaces, and verifying critical safety information such as implants or metal objects.
This position offers a dynamic day-to-day experience where you balance technical precision with compassionate care. You will operate advanced MRI equipment, manage image data, and ensure the radiology suite is pristine and ready for patients. Beyond the exam room, you will actively support a culture of safety by analyzing workflows, identifying barriers, and collaborating with the care team to resolve patient care issues as they arise.
You will also play a key role in our outreach efforts, providing coverage for additional sites in Mt. Pleasant, North Charleston, and West Ashley. Success in this role requires the ability to communicate effectively with patients of diverse developmental stages and to maintain a professional demeanor in all interactions.
About the Team
You will be joining the University Medical Associates (UMA) Radiology team at the East Cooper Clinic. Our team is dedicated to delivering high-quality diagnostic services within the broader Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) network.
