About the Role
As an MRI Technologist at Avera McKennan Hospital, you will be the key operator responsible for producing clinical diagnostic images as directed by physicians. This role exists to ensure accurate, efficient, and safe routine diagnostic procedures that support critical medical decision-making. You will work within a collaborative team environment, coordinating workflows with radiologists, physicians, and other patient-care personnel to deliver specialized protocols and detailed exam results.
Your day-to-day involves preparing and positioning patients, adjusting equipment, and administering IV contrast media while monitoring patient conditions throughout the exam. Beyond technical execution, you will play a vital role in the department's growth by assisting with staff and student orientation, conducting MRI classes, and maintaining rigorous records for quality assurance and accreditation compliance.
