As an entry-level Operator-in-Training (OIT), you will join a team dedicated to the operation and maintenance of wastewater treatment facilities. This role serves as a foundational step in your career, offering the opportunity to learn and grow within a company that values its people as the heart of the business. You will work alongside a Direct Responsible Charge (DRC) operator and other plant staff to ensure the smooth functioning of two wastewater treatment plants, three pump stations, and two collection systems.
Your day-to-day will involve a blend of hands-on technical work and continuous learning. You will assist in monitoring, sampling, troubleshooting, and optimizing treatment performance for aerated lagoons and extended aeration processes. This position is designed for someone eager to master the mechanics and hydraulics of wastewater treatment while contributing to the essential service of keeping our communities safe and healthy.
