Hiring Process

Applications will be reviewed starting on May 29, 2026. The selection process is managed by the Pima County Human Resources Department. Only candidates meeting the minimum qualifications will be admitted to the selection process. Applications are evaluated based on documented education and work experience; resumes alone are not sufficient substitutes for the application form.

Candidates meeting minimum qualifications may be further scored against preferred qualifications. The hiring authority will interview and select the successful candidate from a referral list provided by Human Resources. Additional assessments or testing may be required as part of the selection process.

Application Requirements

A valid driver's license is required at the time of application, and a valid Arizona driver's license is required at the time of appointment. Successful candidates will be subject to a 39-month Department of Transportation (DOT) Motor Vehicle Record review.

Additionally, this position requires a post-job offer physical and/or drug screen, which may include a respirator fit test.
