As an Open-Source Media Analyst, you will play a critical role in developing a shared understanding of the information environment. Your work involves providing timely, accurate, and contextual analysis of traditional media, social media, and key audiences to communicate vital insights to decision-makers. You will align media monitoring and analysis with internal and external command priorities and national messaging objectives, ensuring strategic counsel is available on priority topics at any time.
In this role, you will deliver clear, confident briefings—both orally and in writing—to senior leaders. You will identify, monitor, and analyze trends across social media, breaking news, media briefings, congressional hearings, and key speeches, distributing products that convey these insights effectively. You will also collaborate with command leaders and staff across subordinate and supporting organizations to identify communication risks and opportunities, while advising on the capabilities and limitations of various media monitoring tools. The position requires thriving within an agile, adaptive, and challenging team environment, which may include travel to austere locations.
