About the Role

As a Special Education Aide in Chippewa Valley Schools, you will play a vital role in supporting the teacher and ensuring the best possible learning experience for students with special needs. Your primary mission is to foster a safe, secure, and inclusive environment where every student can thrive academically, socially, and personally.

In this one-on-one or small-group capacity, you will work directly under the supervision of the classroom teacher to implement instructional activities and behavior management plans. You will act as a key partner in monitoring student behavior, utilizing Crisis Intervention and Prevention (CPI) training to de-escalate situations and maintain a positive atmosphere. Additionally, you will serve as a bridge between the school, the student, and the community, communicating effectively to answer questions and share information.

This position is essential for maintaining the confidentiality of student records and ensuring that individual student requirements and behavior plans are followed meticulously. You will also participate in professional development to continuously improve your ability to support students with diverse needs.
