The Court Reporter is the guardian of the official verbatim record of court proceedings. In this role, you will create, maintain, and certify the written record of spoken or recorded speech using stenograph machines or voice-writing technology combined with digital recording systems. Your work ensures the accuracy, security, and integrity of the legal record, which is critical for the judicial process.
You will be responsible for preparing, editing, and distributing official transcripts as directed by the Court, as well as filing transcripts with appellate courts when required. Beyond transcription, you will ensure the proper operation of recording equipment and maintain strict confidentiality regarding all court proceedings and records.
