As an Occupational Therapist, you will evaluate, plan, treat, and implement care for patients in accordance with professional standards of the American Occupational Therapy Association and the policies of Essentia Health. You will provide therapy evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, and implement evidence-based interventions for a full patient caseload. This role involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary care team to ensure optimal clinical and financial outcomes, as well as coordinating with referring physicians and Essentia Health leadership to ensure cohesive patient care.
In the Inpatient Acute Care setting, you will coordinate and deliver durable medical equipment to patients and support smooth transitions of care. Success in this fast-paced environment requires flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to thrive while working where patient needs are highest. You may also serve as a clinical instructor, participate in department committees, and complete credentials that benefit patient care.
Candidates must hold a current occupational therapy license in the state where services are performed. For the Inpatient Acute Care track, completion of a 135-hour lymphedema course (or a plan for completion pre-approved by Essentia leadership) is required.
