As an Occupational Therapist in Home Health, you will play a vital role in assessing and evaluating patient care needs related to functional status, activities of daily living, fine motor coordination, home assessments, and adaptive equipment. You will work within the scope of practice defined by state laws, utilizing evidence-based techniques in coordination with other members of the healthcare team. Your work involves evaluating patient functional status and body systems for CMS documentation, consulting with physicians to develop therapy plans of care, and conducting assessments to determine levels of function. You will also observe, record, and report patient responses to treatment and changes in condition to the nurse supervisor and physician.
