About the Role
As a Nursing Assistant Unit Clerk at Springfield Regional Medical Center, you will serve as a vital link between patients, families, and the healthcare team. This position provides direct patient care under the guidance of a Registered Nurse or designated health care professional, ensuring all activities align with federal, state, and local regulations as well as Bon Secours Mercy Health policies.
In this role, you will be responsible for basic patient care, including comfort measures, recording vital signs, personal hygiene, and mobility assistance. You will act as a liaison between the patient and the nursing staff, promptly reporting any changes or concerns. Beyond clinical duties, you will deliver high-level customer service to patients, families, visitors, and colleagues, while maintaining accurate and timely documentation of patient data.
Note: This position is represented by a collective bargaining agreement.
