As a Nursing Assistant Unit Clerk in the Emergency Department at Springfield Regional Medical Center, you will serve as a vital link between patients, their families, and the healthcare team. This position provides direct patient care under the guidance of a Registered Nurse or designated health care professional, ensuring all activities align with federal, state, and local regulations as well as organizational policies.
In this role, you will act as a liaison between the patient and the nursing staff, reporting changes or concerns promptly. Your day-to-day responsibilities include providing basic patient care such as comfort measures, hygiene, and mobility assistance, while maintaining accurate and timely documentation. You will also deliver high-level customer service to patients, families, visitors, and colleagues, utilizing professional communication skills to ensure a supportive environment.
Note: This position is represented by a collective bargaining agreement.
