The Technical Partner is a vital member of the healthcare team, providing direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of Registered Nurses (RNs) or Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs). This role serves as a bridge between patients and the broader medical team, ensuring that daily care needs are met with compassion and efficiency.
In this position, you will be the first point of contact for patients and families, responding to call lights and inquiries with a focus on timely, empathetic service. Your day involves a dynamic mix of clinical support and patient advocacy, ranging from assisting with activities of daily living and performing vital signs to managing complex equipment like suction devices and telemetry monitors. You will play a key role in maintaining a safe, clean, and organized environment, ensuring that patient rooms are decluttered and supplies are stocked and ready for use.
Beyond clinical tasks, the Technical Partner acts as a patient advocate and a resource for the care team. You will participate in hourly rounding to proactively address patient needs, assist in the educational process to promote self-care, and support performance improvement initiatives. As a mentor to new hires and students, you will demonstrate leadership by utilizing critical thinking skills to solve problems and uphold the highest standards of patient safety and infection control.
