The Nurse Administrator is responsible for the overall management and coordination of functions within a division of Nursing. This role holds accountability to manage within the context of the organization as a whole, transforming organizational values into daily operations to yield an efficient, effective, and caring organization. The position involves managing designated clinical nursing practice and overseeing programs, systems, and services that are evidence-based and support the clinical practice of nursing.
Day-to-day, the Nurse Administrator participates in assessing the environment, forecasting trends, transmitting values, and communicating ideas. The role requires coaching and mentoring others, managing resources, and assuring that core values are implemented. Responsibilities are accomplished based on Mayo and the Department of Nursing's vision, mission, and values, including the development, implementation, maintenance, and evaluation of policies, programs, and services related to assigned functions.
This role is eligible for TN sponsorship. Successful sponsorship will require state licensure and completion of the VisaScreen or equivalent certification.
