About the Role
As a Senior Manager of Business Operations for Perioperative Services at Tufts Medical Center, you will serve as a strategic partner to senior leadership, driving operational efficiencies and profitability across our surgical and endoscopy services. This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between hospital administration and physician practices, ensuring that clinical growth initiatives align seamlessly with financial goals.
You will act as a key liaison between the hospital and surgeon offices, providing critical analysis on surgical access, scheduling practices, and revenue integrity. Your day-to-day involves overseeing complex projects that require a high degree of strategic, conceptual, and financial acumen. From data mining and ROI studies to developing executive dashboards, you will transform raw data into actionable insights that guide decision-making for the service line.
In this position, you will not only manage experienced professionals but also function as an internal consultant, advising on new business development and market share strategies. You will foster a collaborative environment where multi-disciplinary teams work together to achieve project goals, ensuring that our strategic plans remain relevant in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Requirements
- verifiedMaster's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or related area AND Five (5) years of management experience OR Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or related area AND Seven (7) years of management experience
- verifiedHigh proficiency in Microsoft Office products, data mining and business intelligence software
- verifiedExperience with SQL functions and query language
- verifiedExperience in report writing
- verifiedAbility to interpret financial data and effectively manage revenues and expenses according to budget
- verifiedKnowledge of JCAHO standards and relevant regulatory requirements
