Beacon is a successful, national private-equity backed behavioral health company dedicated to providing residential-based services and supports to children and adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, Severe Mental Illness, Autism, and high-acuity behaviors. Our mission is rooted in our "I CARE" core values: Integrity, Compassion, Advocacy, Respect, and Excellence. As a Beacon employee, you are expected to align with these goals and perform in accordance with our policies, accreditation standards, and regulatory requirements.
This position serves as a vital leader within our residential care operations, ensuring the safe, compliant, and effective management of assigned homes. You will be responsible for operating homes in a manner that meets or exceeds company goals for budget and clinical effectiveness. Your day-to-day involves supervising Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), maintaining facility standards, and fostering a culture of trauma-informed care that supports the social, emotional, and physical needs of the individuals we serve.
Beyond daily operations, you will act as a bridge between the home, clinical teams, and external stakeholders. You will build positive relationships with referral sources and government agencies, coordinate admissions, and collaborate with leadership to improve the quality of residential care. This role requires a balance of administrative precision—managing budgets, payroll, and incident reports—and hands-on leadership, ensuring staff are trained, supported, and integrated into a cohesive team.
Candidates must be approved by state, federal, and government entities to work within Beacon Specialized Living Services (BSLS) programs. The selection process includes a thorough background check, including Central Registry, CARI (Child Abuse Registry), and drug testing (New Jersey requirement). Successful candidates must also possess a valid Driver's License and be able to pass all required industry trainings and TB screenings.
Beacon is committed to maintaining a safe community environment and workplace where all individuals are treated with dignity and respect. We preserve and protect the privacy and security of all medical records and proprietary information in accordance with HIPAA and applicable laws. We actively promote a culture sensitive to the feelings of our individuals and staff, working to overcome stigmas and ensure a supportive environment for everyone.
