As a Registered Nurse at Maui Health System, you will be an integral part of the Health Care Team, dedicated to delivering quality, customer-focused care that reflects our organizational mission, vision, and values. This role serves as a vital bridge between patients and clinicians, providing both direct in-person and indirect telephone-based care. You will function as a primary nurse and total patient caregiver, utilizing critical thinking and problem-solving skills to manage routine to complex health conditions.
In this position, you will not only perform clinical assessments and triage but also serve as a resource nurse and preceptor. You will provide direction to Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and medical assistants, delegating tasks in accordance with legal guidelines and organizational policies. Your day-to-day impact involves ensuring patients receive comprehensive care, from rooming and preparation for visits to health education and follow-up coordination.

Candidates must possess a current Registered Nurse License in Hawaii and Basic Life Support certification. We look for individuals who have graduated from an accredited school of nursing and have at least one year of hospital experience (including a nurse residency program) or one year of experience in an outpatient clinical setting. Those with coursework in basic EKG or experience with electronic medical records are highly encouraged to apply.
