About the Role
As a Registered Nurse at Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of Washington, you serve as an integral member of the healthcare team, dedicated to providing comprehensive nursing care to a defined group of patients. Your mission is to coordinate and facilitate healthcare services across various segments of the delivery system, ensuring seamless collaboration with physicians and other team members. You will oversee patient assessments, formulate care plans, and implement interventions that address the physiological and psychological needs of diverse populations, from neonates to the geriatric community.
Day in the Life
Your work involves a dynamic blend of clinical assessment, education, and advocacy. You will utilize the nursing process to continuously evaluate patient needs, developing individualized plans of care that prioritize essential health requirements. A significant portion of your role focuses on empowering patients and their families through education on health promotion, preventive care, and therapeutic regimens. You will also provide telephone consultations, manage admission and discharge planning for hospitalizations, and ensure a safe environment by adhering to strict infection control and safety standards.

Requirements
- verifiedAssociates degree in Nursing from an accredited program
- verifiedRegistered Nurse License (Washington) required at hire OR Compact License
- verifiedBasic Life Support required at hire
- verifiedAmbulatory care nursing experience preferred
- verifiedPrimary nursing or case-management experience preferred
- verifiedBachelor of science in nursing (BSN) preferred
Nice to Have
Ambulatory care nursing experience. Primary nursing or case-management experience. Bachelor of science in nursing (BSN).
