About the Role
As a Registered Nurse with Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of Washington, you will serve as an integral member of the healthcare team, providing specialized nursing care to a defined group of patients. This role focuses on coordinating and facilitating healthcare services across various segments of the delivery system, ensuring a seamless experience for patients and their families.
You will oversee and participate in patient assessments, formulating and implementing individualized care plans. Your work involves using the nursing process to assess ongoing care needs, developing written plans, and assisting patients in setting health goals. You will provide safe nursing interventions, offer telephone consultations, and evaluate patient responses to care, modifying plans as necessary in collaboration with the broader healthcare team.
The role places a strong emphasis on holistic care, addressing the physiologic and psychological effects of aging across diverse populations including neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, and geriatric groups. You will identify educational needs, develop teaching components, and promote patient self-care and preventive health measures. Additionally, you will ensure a safe environment by adhering to strict infection control and safety standards while fostering open communication regarding psychosocial and cultural needs.
Work Environment & Schedule
This position operates within an ambulatory setting with a schedule designed to support work-life balance. The role requires a minimum of four shifts per month, specifically excluding weekends and holidays. Candidates with infusion experience and ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy certification are preferred to support specialized patient needs.

Requirements
- verifiedAssociates degree in Nursing from an accredited program
- verifiedRegistered Nurse License (Washington) required at hire OR Compact License
- verifiedBasic Life Support (BLS) required at hire
- verifiedInfusion experience with ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy certification preferred
- verifiedBachelor of science in nursing (BSN) preferred
- verifiedAmbulatory care nursing experience preferred
- verifiedPrimary nursing or case-management experience preferred
