About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Inspector at our growing facility in Columbus, Georgia. Columbus Forge, a recognized leader in producing disks and airfoils for the aerospace propulsion market, is looking for dedicated individuals to support our organization. This role offers the chance to work in a dynamic environment where you can incorporate new ideas into practice.

As an NDT Inspector, you will work directly with the Quality, Process, and Engineering (QP&E) team to ensure the highest standards of quality. Your day will involve performing ultrasonic inspections using Matec and IRT systems, analyzing computer-generated data, and signing off on product inspections. You will also be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the inspection area, troubleshooting equipment issues, and conducting daily walk-arounds. The role requires reading detailed engineering blueprints, using precision measurement devices, and maintaining meticulous records. You will collaborate with the Material Control Lab and manufacturing personnel to investigate inspection findings and determine their effect on the part.

This position is available on the 2nd Shift (weekday afternoon through early morning hours). Please note that final work schedules are determined by the business, which reserves the right to modify shift times, days, or hours at any time.

Hiring Process and Application

Hired applicants will participate in a paid on-the-job training program, which includes classroom theory, on-the-job training (OJT), and certification examinations. You will be required to obtain NDT Level 2 Certification within a designated timeframe.
