At RTX, the world's largest aerospace and defense company, 185,000 great minds are united by purpose to solve the world's most complex problems. With three market-leading businesses and world-class operations, we push the boundaries of known science to connect and protect our world.
Pratt & Whitney is a world leader in the design, manufacture, and service of aircraft engines and auxiliary power systems. For over 100 years, we have been revolutionizing modern flight. Join us to help shape the future of aerospace and defense.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Inspector at our growing facility in Columbus, Georgia. Columbus Forge, a recognized leader in producing disks and airfoils for the aerospace propulsion market, is looking for dedicated individuals to support our organization. This role offers a chance to work in a dynamic environment where you can incorporate new ideas into practice.
As an NDT Inspector, you will work directly with the Quality, Process, and Engineering (QP&E) team to ensure the highest standards of quality. Your day will involve performing ultrasonic inspections using Matec and IRT systems, analyzing computer-generated data, and signing off on product inspections. You will also maintain equipment cleanliness, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with Material Control Lab and manufacturing personnel to investigate problems and determine their effect on parts.
This position is available on the 2nd Shift (weekday afternoon through early morning hours). Final work schedules are determined by the business, which reserves the right to modify shift times, days, or hours at any time. The role includes a shift premium in the compensation package.
In addition to transforming the future of flight, we are transforming how and where we work. This role is designated as Onsite, meaning employees will work primarily at the assigned site. Candidates will learn more about role types and current site status throughout the recruiting process. Commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee's personal responsibility.
As part of our commitment to maintaining a secure hiring process, candidates may be asked to attend select steps of the interview process in-person at one of our office locations, regardless of whether the role is designated as on-site, hybrid, or remote.
RTX anticipates the application window closing approximately 40 days from the date the notice was posted, though this may vary based on candidate flow and business necessity. U.S. citizenship is required for this position as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access certain necessary systems.
