The Hotel Night Auditor serves as the vital link between the day's operations and the next morning's start. This unique position combines the warmth of hospitality with the precision of accounting, ensuring that front desk operations run smoothly while financial records are accurately reconciled. You will be the primary point of contact for guests during the quiet hours, providing excellent service while maintaining the security and integrity of the hotel.
Your shift begins as the hotel settles into the night. You will manage check-ins and check-outs for late arrivals and early departures, handling reservations and room assignments with care. Beyond guest interactions, a significant portion of your day is dedicated to the night audit process: balancing room revenue, cash, and credit card payments, and preparing daily financial and occupancy reports. You will also monitor hotel security, respond to guest inquiries or complaints, and ensure the front desk area remains organized and welcoming.
This role takes place in a quiet but responsible environment, requiring the ability to work independently during overnight shifts. The schedule includes weekends and holidays, and the position may require prolonged standing and occasional walking throughout the property.
Candidates with a high school diploma or equivalent are encouraged to apply. While hospitality-related education and previous front desk or accounting experience are advantageous, we welcome those with strong attention to detail and a commitment to guest satisfaction.
